Studio ١٣ creates physical worlds for film and advertising. Founded by Mahmoud El Hosary and Layaly Abo Azzam, the studio brings concept, spatial design, construction and set dressing into one continuous process.
We begin with the story and the action a space needs to hold. Architecture, furniture, objects, colour and texture are developed together, then carried through the build and onto set.

Concept, spatial thinking, set design and technical development. Mahmoud carries the design from the first idea through build execution and on-set decisions.

Layaly
Abo Azzam
Art direction, project management, sourcing, furniture, props and set dressing. Layaly develops the character of a space through its materials and objects, carrying that detail through to final styling.
